Of the Swan is to be performed by The NYU New Music Ensemble on Sunday 29th November 2015 in the Frederick Loewe Theatre in New York. This will be the fourth performance of my work by this group who specialise in reinterpreting electroacoustic music for instrumental forces. The have previously performed acoustic versions of Shortstuff, Thickness, Voxx Magna and Still Voices. The original version of the piece uses recordings of the tárogató, a Hungarian folk instrument similar to a clarinet, performed by Ester Lamneck, the ensemble’s Music Director.
