These PC programs (CLREGBIV.EXE and CLREGMUL.EXE) accompany the paper Crawford, J. R., & Howell, D. C. (1999). Regression equations in clinical neuropsychology: An evaluation of statistical methods for comparing predicted and observed scores. Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, 20, 755-762.

Click here to download the CLREGBIV.EXE program (designed for use with bivariate regression equations, i.e. when there is a single predictor variable) and here to download CLREGMUL.EXE (designed for use with multiple regression equations).

Feel free to download these programs but please note that they have been superceded by a further suite of programs. Aside from the fact that they implement additional statistical methods not offered in the originals, these newer programs have the advantage that they are full GUI Windows program and allow the user to save or print the results. To view detials of these replacement programs click here . Further related programs that can be used when an existing regression equation is not available can be found here (these latter programs build a regression equation from summary statistics) .

Your web browser is most probably configured to recognise that the files are executable. If you have any problems (i.e. the browser treats them as text files), hold down the shift key when clicking.

Once downloaded, the programs can be run by any of the normal Windows procedures i.e. by clicking on file in File Manager, by using Windows 95 start menu, or by placing on desktop etc.
