Imagine yourself living on another planet or a moon in the solar system. Assume that you live in environmentally protected quarters but from time to time have to venture outside on missions. Write a letter home describing life as you find it (make it a post card if you’re really shy about writing!)

You should look up the textbook to find the physical conditions at your chosen base, such as gravity, temperature, atmosphere (if any), nature of the surface, distance from the Sun and so on. Can you deduce how much sunlight you get? Imagine the kind of protective clothes you’ll need. Invent a reason for being there.
