Hi, all, Sorry for being late in sending you the data for tensile test.
Last Monday we did tensile test only on steel because we ran out of the
aluminum specimen. Anyway we saved the data tested before.
Attached are two data sets for
Steel
and
Aluminum
tensile test. They are
in Microsoft Excel format. If you have any difficult in open the data
file, please let me know.
There is no homework due on next Monday. So enjoy the weekend!
Our next experiment is "Precipitation Hardening for Aluminum Alloys".
This will be a long test (last for at least two and an half hours). You
may be not quite familiar with "Precipitation Hardening", so read the
handout and be fully prepared before the class. There will be a Quiz
before the class. Hope you can answer the questions all correctly.
The formal lab report 1 on Mechanical Testing (harness, impact and
tensile testing) will due on March 4.
Good night.
Honglai.
