Jacob, Indranil, Xiaodong, I am finally convinced by Sumit that for the Larson-Miller plot in the homework #5, both the logarithm and linear scale for the stresses are correct. The first exam will be in Monday, 2/25. The test covers all the things from the classes and the homeworks (problem set 1 to problem set 4). Make sure you understand every problems in the homework. Undergraduate students are not required to understand the problem for graduates.2/6/02. The homework sent out in today's class should be "Problem Set 3", not "Problem Set 2". Each homework is sent out at Wednesday's class. If you turn in the solution at the next Wednesday's class, you can get 2 extra points, and I will grade your homework and give comments on Friday.
You can turn in your homework at the beginning of Friday's class, but there is no extra points. I can not comment your work in Friday's class and I will return your homework next Wednesday.
