Two papers both essentially doing the same thing.
One is my thesis - the file is called Thv2.dvi
Other is a preprint of part of my thesis - file called Calcj2.dvi

For my thesis - title is "Derived equivalences for group algebras"
In it I prove Broue's conj for the non-principal block
of kSL(2,p^2). In addition I prove Broue's conjecture with
the aid of MAGMA for the principal blocks of J2, U_3(4) and 
Sp4(4) and also for the non-principal block of full defect
of 2.J2 - all over k with char(k)=5.

For my preprint with title "Broue's conjecture for the
Hall-Janko group and its double cover"
- I leave out the non-principal block
of SL(2,p^2) and just concentrate on the other cases
of my thesis. The preprint has an abstract and I have submitted
it to the LMS (but I will have to chase them up about it as 
I've not heard from them for some time)


Both were written while still a PhD student at
Bristol University under Jeremy Rickard.
