``Rational Mackey functors for compact Lie groups I.'' 32pp 

The category of rational Mackey functors is shown to be equivalent to 
the category of equivariant sheaves on the Weyl-toral category. The 
advantage is that the latter category only has morphisms in one direction, 
and is thus easily seen to have global dimension equal to the rank of the 
group. This version is a simplified and corrected version of an earlier 
preprint.
