Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to prove that all Artin groups of
crystallographic type have a faithful representation of
dimension the number of reflections of the associated Coxeter group. We
also give some properties of the representation we construct. The
presentation obtained generalizes Krammer's construction of a faithful finite
dimensional representation of the classical braid group (similar result
for types ADE were obtained simultaneously by Cohen and Wales).
