Rob in Antarctica, 2009/10
Hi, I'm a glaciologist - a scientist who studies ice, in my case large ice sheets and what is making parts of them diminish.

I have an official university web profile here which gives full details of my research, publications and scientific activities.

A major attraction of being a glaciologist is the opportunity to visit some of the world's most spectacular regions. My fieldwork takes me both to the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as high-alpine environments, and here you can view a selection of photographs from these spectacular environments.

Photographs Robert Bingham - please contact me if you wish to reproduce any.
