I have 4 main clinical areas of interest:
In 1998, having completed the joint training programme run by the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of London, I was appointed to a consultant post at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
n 2001 I was appointed Lead Clinician for the Grampian Diabetes Retinal Screening Programme.
Between 2003 and 2006, I was the inaugural Lead Clinician, Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Collaborative Network, National Services Division, NHS National Services Scotland.
In 2008, I was appointed Lead Clinician of the Uveitis National Managed Clinical Network, Services Division, NHS National Services Scotland.
I am currently Deputy Chair of Eyecare Scotland and a founding member of the Scottish Government Health Departments Scottish Eyecare Group- an alliance of Eyecare Scotland, Optometry Scotland and the Royal National Insitute of Blind People, Scotland
