Anticline, Spain
The structure on the right hand side is an anticline,
that is, bedding which has been folded over on itself. It can be seen in two parts
here, one behind the other, the continuation of the further away one having
been eroded off. This anticline is unusual in that it also directly forms the
curving hillside - it is a visually direct impact of geology on its
environment.
