(1) 10% marks are allocated on the report of literature review.

(2) 10% marks are allocated on the presentation of literature review.

(3) Submit the report to George Begg coursework box “Research Methods / Literature Review Report”, the deadline is Monday 20 April 2009, 4pm.

(4) Oral assessment timetable.

 

 

Report marking criteria (total 10 marks):

The marking consists of the following 6 assessments: 

1.

The report is a synthesis of available research (1 mark)

The report is an annotated bibliography (0 mark)

2.

The report is a critical evaluation (2 marks)

The report is confined to description (0 mark)

3.

The report has appropriate breadth and depth (2 marks)

The report is narrow and shallow (0 mark)

4.

The report has clarity and conciseness (2 marks)

The report is confusing and longwinded (0 mark)

5.

The report uses rigorous and consistent methods (1 mark)

The report is constructed in an arbitrary way (0 mark)

6.

The report leads logically to the research topics (2 marks)

The report is irrelevant to the research topics (0 mark)

 There is no requirement for how many pages to write once you cover the above points.

 

Oral Assessment marking criterion (total 10 marks):
