This module covers the business perspective of computing and information needs. There is no straight line for development to follow of systems. You need to plan a bit, and then check your assumptions. This course will teach you how you can develop approaches to confirm that you are building the system that you need using a mixture of agile and lean approaches, as well as the use of design approaches where appropriate too.

The goal should be to design a system that lets you make changes as you learn more about your context. People design systems, so we should also know that we can change them too, and that this is especially true if the system isn't serving the needs of its community any longer.

Practicals:

Friday 10:00-12:00 in Fraser Noble 114 every week of teaching.
