Cathedral of the Savior (Sobor Spasa Preobrazheniya), Novospasskii Monastery, built in 1645, though a monastery existed at that location from
1490. The Bolsheviks used the complex as a
concentration camp - many, including Hungarian communist
leader Bela Kuhn, were murdered there in 1937 and their carcasses
